Introduction:
The School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation was founded in July 1993 and originated from the Mechanical Department of Northeastern University, established in 1923 at the beginning of the school. At present, the college has two first-level disciplines, namely "Mechanical Engineering" and "Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics," both of which are equipped with postdoctoral stations, covering "Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation," Mechanical Design and Theory," "Mechatronics Engineering," "Vehicle Engineering," "Fluid Mechanics and Engineering," "Chemical Engineering," "Chemical Engineering," and "Chemical Engineering." Mechanical Design and Theory," "Mechatronics Engineering," "Vehicle Engineering," "Fluid Mechanics and Engineering," "Chemical Process Mechanics," and "Power Mechanics and Engineering" are seven secondary disciplines, all with doctoral and master's degree-granting rights. Among them, "Mechanical Design and Theory" is a national key discipline, and "Mechanical Engineering" and "Fluid Machinery and Engineering" are key disciplines in Liaoning Province.

Introduction:
SMAE was founded in 2018, based on the former College of Mechanical Science and Engineering, whose history dates to 1955. We maintain a free and vibrant academic culture and aspire to contribute to innovation that benefits the mechanical industry, society, and the world through research and education. After 65 years’ development, we are widely recognized as the base for high-level professional training and technological innovations in the equipment manufacturing industry, with nearly 1800 undergraduate students and more than 900 postgraduate students studying here. Currently, there are five undergraduate degree programs and six doctoral programs, all of which accept international students. Besides, there are two post-doctoral workstations in mechanical engineering and mechanics.
