Prof. Yanqing Wang

Biography:
Yanqing Wang, professor and doctoral supervisor, is a recipient of the National Excellent Youth Science Fund. His research fields include aero-engines, robotics, micro air vehicles, and biological flight mechanics. He serves as the director of the Liaoning Provincial Key Laboratory of Structural Dynamics, a member of the Degree Evaluation Committee of Northeastern University, secretary-general of the Liaoning Society of Mechanics, council member of the Chinese Society of Mechanics, and council member of the Chinese Society of Vibration Engineering. He is also vice-chair of the Nonlinear Vibration Professional Committee, and a member of the Modal Analysis and Testing Committee and the Dynamic Load and Design Committee of the Chinese Society of Vibration Engineering. Wang serves as editorial board member or young editorial board member for journals including the International Journal of Mechanical Sciences, Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica, International Journal of Applied Mechanics, Acta Mechanica Sinica, Journal of Vibration Engineering, and Journal of Dynamics and Control. He has led over ten research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and others, and published more than 120 SCI-indexed papers. He has been awarded the Second Prize of Liaoning Provincial Natural Science Award (first author), the Liaoning Distinguished Young Scholar Fund, the “Xu Zhilun National Outstanding Mechanics Teacher Award” from the Chinese Society of Mechanics, and recognized as an Elsevier China Highly Cited Researcher and a top 2% Scientist worldwide. He is honored as a member of the “Hundred Talents Program” at the hundred-person level under Liaoning Province’s “100,000 Talents Project,” a Young Talent under the “Xingliao Talent Plan,” the 13th “Liaoning Excellent Science and Technology Worker,” as well as recipient of the “May Fourth Medal,” Huawei Teaching Award, Jianghe Group Teaching Award from Northeastern University. He has also been recognized as an Outstanding Communist Party Member and Outstanding Teacher by Northeastern University.

Prof. Zilong Zhao
Beihang University, China
Biography:
Zi-Long Zhao obtained his doctoral degree in 2016 from Tsinghua University (China). Since 2021, he has been a full Professor at Beihang University (China). He is elected as a high-level young talent of China (2020), an ARC DECRA fellow (2019), an innovative and entrepreneurial talent of Jiangsu Province (2024), and a young top talent of Beihang University (2022). He is an expert of the Chinese Ministry of Education, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Australian Research Council, and the Jiangsu Association of Science and Technology. He is an editorial advisory board member of Engineering Fracture Mechanics. His research interests include solid mechanics, biomechanics, structural topology optimization, and aircraft design. By 2025, he has published more than 60 papers in internationally prestigious SCI journals. He is the general chair or co-chair of multiple international conferences such as ICoACE 2024, AITCE 2025, and ICAMME 2025.
